Goodbye! Mir falls.

There have been no surprises and the remains of Mir have sunk this morning in the Pacific. Attendees have recognized the show. Mir has come up with a long and bright yellow tail that has broken into a thousand pieces, as if it were an artificial fire.

The Russian control center has experienced moments of joy and sadness. Joy, because everything has gone as you want and because the "landing" has been a success. This is the first time a large space station has been brought to the ground in a controlled manner and the Russians have done a good job. All sections have fallen within the marked fall zone and no accident has occurred. And sadness because Mir has been during these 15 years symbol of the power of the Russians in space.
