Termite pests require large amounts of chemicals that are highly toxic and difficult to apply. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to find new protection systems that respect the environment and do not harm human health. Well, one of the solutions can be the control of termites by electronic equipment.

The CIDEMCO research centre, responsible for coordinating the Termisonic project, is developing an electronic termite control device. To do this, they have used the knowledge about the termite communications system, as well as the most advanced acoustic technologies, to record the alarm sound of the termites and, subsequently, for the new device to reproduce this alarm.
