Amanita and fungus near us
1993/08/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
A genetic analysis has shown that fungi are closer to us than to plants. According to the analysis of ribosomal RNA mutations in twenty-two species, it has been shown that fungi and we come from the same organism. This organism is the most flagellated protisto and was differentiated from those occupied a thousand million years ago.
To date, fungi (about 250,000 species) have been placed among the plants. In some dictionaries it is said that the fungus is a “plant without chlorophyll or flowers”. From now on we will have to say something like this: “An animal without hemoglobin that tends to be placed in a fixed place (but not always, since mixomicetes can move)”.
According to this definition, mycosis, that is, the diseases produced by fungi, are difficult to cure: the toxic products for them are also toxic to the human being.
