It is known that often a class of animals has disappeared in nature. However, some units survive in places like the zoo. Then, aware of this regrettable loss, it is about introducing these animals into nature.
This is the case of Tunisia. In it a long time ago disappeared an antelope called oryx with branches of zimitarra. Pressures on hunting and livestock, which were once abundant in North Africa, have been limited to Niger and Chad.
The 10 oryx, 5 females and 5 males born and raised in the British Zoos last days of last December have been released in the Bov-Hedma National Park of Tunisia. Based on them it is expected that in a few years the oryx group will be very beautiful in Tunisia.
