Ultraviolet light affects barnacles

Lanpern larvae use light-sensitive sensors to swim and search for food in the sea. But ultraviolet light blinds and therefore cannot reach and stick to the rocks. In the Hong Kong area, in the last 30 years, the population of Frankfurt has declined considerably and its researchers believe that the ozone layer decline. Under the radiation Hong Kong receives on a normal summer afternoon, barnacle larvae remain blind for an hour, as they have seen in the laboratory.
Researchers believe that ultraviolet radiation is affecting animals that inhabit the upper layers of the sea, since not only are barnacles damaged, but also the eyes of crabs and lobsters. In Lanperne many marine animals are fed, so their decline will affect the trophic chain.
