Fish respond to climate change

2005/07/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Climate change heats the water of the oceans, which also affects fish. English researchers have analyzed between 1977 and 2001 the 36 most common fish species in the depths of the North Sea. During this period, the water temperature increased by 1 °C, so two thirds of the fish population have migrated to colder, deeper, more north, or both at a time.
