h3>The IRISCOM system controls the computer through the movement of the eye. This idea received the first prize of the New Basque Company 2003 and is already in the street. In the sessions held between users between 6 and 75 years old, very good results are being given.

The IRISCOM system uses a tracking system called Quick Glance to track eye movements. This computer performs the same functions as the mouse on Windows system.

This system allows the user to locate the mouse pointer at any point on the screen with just looking there. To press the button you have to shoot your eyes slowly or leave the pointer a while in the same place. In addition, through the keyboards that appear on the screen, the user can write text or communicate with voice.

The program allows to perform all the functions that can be performed in Windows, such as pressing, pressing and moving, pressing twice, pressing with the right button, etc.

The Quick Glance program is used to write, surf the internet, email, computer assisted design, games, etc.

In addition, the system can track the trajectory of the user's look on screen. It has a software called Eye Science.

System Features

The system is designed for patients with unilateral amyotrophic sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries and other similar disabilities. Regardless of the size and color of the eyes of these users, the system works the same and even if the user has lenses or glasses, there is no problem.

Eye control is enough to use the system. Once the eye is selected, the system is calibrated for this eye and the mouse pointer follows the movements of this eye. In addition, it is not necessary to have computer knowledge to be able to use and communicate the system, since the program is simple and intuitive.

The system key is in the camera, oriented to the user's eye. This camera is installed on a high-performance laptop. In this way, when the computer is placed in a wheelchair, it is carried or not used in displacements.
