The absolute and relative figures of recycled glass in Western European States in 1992 are interesting. Holland recycled 378,000 tons (73%) and all of them appear champion. The others follow: Switzerland (212,000 t, 72%), Germany (2,459,000 t, 65%), Austria (175,000 t, 64%), Sweden (76,000 t, 58%), Belgium (216,000 t, 54%), Italy (786,000 t, 53%), Denmark (75,000 t, 48%), Finland (23,000 t, 48%), France, 1.44%

Taking these figures into account, it is clear that to reach the levels of Holland it is necessary to install more glass collection containers in our cities and towns and that people use more these glass recycling containers.
