In the last century global temperatures have increased by about 0.6°C due to the phenomenon of Earth warming. So far the greenhouse effect caused by the decrease in the ozone layer has been considered the only culprit. But atmospheric physicists find a new culprit, much more powerful: the Sun. E. The warming effect of the Earth is intimately related to the cycles of activity of the Sun. The Sun presents periods of intense activity and therefore emits to space a greater number of particles, producing a phenomenon known as the solar wind. Cosmic rays coming to Earth when the solar wind is higher decrease, and researchers believe this reduces the formation of clouds in the atmosphere. Now research has been aimed at checking the influence of cosmic rays on the atmosphere.
