The eye of the fly is a complex structure of hexagons and is not the only one of this type in nature. Some American physicists have studied how these structures are created. According to them, the eye is easily formed, as the crystal of a mineral is formed. However, there is a difference between the eye and crystals, since in the case of the fly the process is controlled by a growth factor.
