Researchers have long been working to expand the memory of computer media. One way to do this is to store the information in the three dimensions of the support material. To record and read information use the laser. But the material is destroyed as soon as the data is read or very expensive lasers are used.

Now, researchers at the University of Boston have proposed epoxy resin to create computer supports to store information in three dimensions. It seems that up to 10 times more information can be stored than on a normal DVD on the support made on this material and that the data can be read more than a million times without destroying the material.

However, this technology is still to be developed. At the moment, it has a big drawback: the time required to record the data is three weeks.
