A team of U.S. biologists has shown that sperm navigate by guiding odors. Trials with rats have revealed that the rat sperm carry two of the types of molecules that can be found in the nose. These molecules are the ones that allow nasal cells to react to odors. This discovery can contribute to the development of new sperm buffer systems.

The suspicion already existed, but now, when the mechanism of operation begins to be known, it has been put in confirmation phase. As research advances, practical ideas, the pill for men, will soon emerge. On the other hand, one of the consequences of a pill of this type is evident, since if the molecules that produce the smell are deactivated, in addition to the male sperm, the nasal ones will also be inactivated.
