The young people of the Basque Country presented their projects in the 10th edition of Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka

On 2 June at 10:30 in the morning the 10th edition of Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka was opened, with official opening. The event was attended by Koldo Narbaiza Olaskoaga, Councilor of the Basque Country and Education Area of the City of Bilbao; Joseba Mariezkurrena Cuesta, Director of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Competitiveness of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia; Amaia Agirre Pinedo, Director of Studies and Educational Innovation of the Department of Aguirre
The fair was distributed in 4 days, in which young people aged between 12 and 18 showed every day artistic projects carried out during the course. They were also the ginkana of science, the viscous experiments, the theater play Matriuska and the Adrenaline, the spectacle of science, among others. On Sunday the projects developed in the Bizilabe leisure workshops were shown. A total of 500 young people participated in this edition. The fair itself is 10 years old and was celebrated between the 50th anniversary of Elhuyar.
In addition to young people, Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka participated in research centres in the Basque Country and universities. And it highlights the commitment to this project in which 218 researchers from universities and technology centers (199 women) registered to work with students at first. In addition, and in line with this, the presence of the professional scope of the researchers at the fair, with the presence of researchers from centers embodied in Areatza: UPV/EHU, University of Deusto, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, CFM-Polymat, TECNALIA and BC Materials.
