Sometimes, biologists have the opportunity to know by chance specimens of species that were considered missing in the depth of the seas. It has just been produced in the waters surrounding New Caledonia, where some archaic marine lilies have been found. These crinoids, such as sea urchin and starfish, are echinoderms. In the reviews carried out at a depth of 470 meters, twenty specimens of the species Gymnocrinus have been collected. This species was only known until now in the fossil state. Species represented in the image that is hand shaped with closed fingers.
