Young people from Gipuzkoa present their projects at the “Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka | Gipuzkoa” fair held in Usurbil

“Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka | Gipuzkoa” has been held today in Usurbil. A total of 73 young people who have participated in the fair have had the opportunity to show their projects during the course at the fronton of Usurbil. Jon Abril Olaetxea, general coordinator of Elhuyar, Agurtzane Solaberrieta Mesa, Mayor of Usurbil, and Xabier Aranburu Leiva, Councillor for Education of Usurbil have also been present.

In total, 73 young people from 12 to 18 years old have gathered, 49 girls (67%) and 24 boys (33%). Young people come from 11 schools in Gipuzkoa: IES Zubiri Manteo, La Salle San Luis, Lizardi BHI, Oriarte BHI, Talaia BHI, Txindoki BHI, Udarrangi Ikastola, Urretxu Zumarraga Ikastola and IPI Herri Eskola. The students presented 17 projects carried out throughout the year.

Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka aims to bring scientific experiences to young people and to promote and disseminate scientific culture. It is worth noting the participation of researchers throughout the project to bring the real world of science and technology closer to young people and their commitment to this project.

Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka | It was the second edition of Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka. Before Usurbil, the fairs of the Kanbo Xalbador College and the Piarres Larzabal College of Ziburu and the Technoscience Fair “Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka Nafarroa” have been held. From 22 to 25 May, the events will conclude with the celebration of the Elhuyar Science Fair in Bilbao. Young people from all over Euskal Herria will participate in the festival to be held in the Basque capital.
