New opponent to flu viruses

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison find a peptide that protects influenza viruses that cause the flu. The virus prevents peptides from entering the cells, so the infection does not progress. They believe it will serve to make vaccines and protect it from different types of flu, including avian flu.
