The African frog Xenopus laevis hunt at night and uses the skin to "see" floating insects. As a young fighter at dusk and it forms: it relates the sensation it receives in the skin (the waves produced by the insect when it comes into contact with water) to what it sees with the eyes. And when you're an adult you don't need your eyes; the feeling you get on your skin is similar to what your eyes would get on the frog's brain, allowing you to distinguish edible insects from the rest.
