This device combines the advantages of the mouse with those of the drag ball in the ergonomic design. The design has been highly valued by Logitech manufacturers. While the thumb moves the ball that controls the movement of the cursor, it is made so that the fingers sit comfortably on the selection keys.

The problem of small spaces and irregular surfaces is solved with this new mechanism and this feature makes it very appropriate for laptops.

Trackball can also create menus through the LogiMenu program. The default resolution of this hardware is 300 dPI (point/inch), but allows to define a value between 50-15000 dpi.
