For many theories, the fact that caused the disappearance of dinosaurs is directly related to a giant meteorite. And a group of Canadian and Mexican researchers believe that the meteorite was 10 kilometers in diameter when it hit 88.000 kilometers per hour.

All these data have been announced with great precision by the aforementioned research team. The Chicxulub crater in Yukatan has given them detailed information. According to hypotheses, the crater was born 65 million years ago when the giant meteorite, after crossing the atmosphere, collided. Researchers who have analyzed Hondale have installed nearly 7,000 checkpoints for data collection.

According to these data, the crater has 180 kilometers of diameter and a depth of between 20 and 40 kilometers. We have already mentioned the meteorite data: 10 kilometers in diameter and a great speed. Therefore, researchers have concluded that it caused a tragic and ecological breakdown.
