Today in Euskal Herria this type of ice cubes has not fallen, but it has thrown very well the hail in many places. To be hail, the pieces of ice must be resistant and have a minimum size of 5 mm. They are usually larger, a few centimeters in diameter, and as those in the photograph cause great damage. Others also because hail is crude and abundant; or because it is not.

Hail forms in compact, heavy clouds like giant towers, when rising wind currents move small pieces of ice up and down. Up and down, the ice increases until the cloud downloads the content.

Hail rockets can explode in clouds that seem dangerous. The explosion disturbs the dynamics of air currents and the humidity falls in the form of rain.
