The appearance of the flowers, beyond the aesthetic

There are many different flowers, of very diverse forms, but as for symmetry, there are only two types: radial and bilateral. The design of radial flowers is older in evolution than the other, but bilateral flowers are increasing due to the greater success in pollination.
The key to this success has been investigated at the University of Granada, in Spain, through the flowers and beetles of the Erysimum mediohispanicum plant. The plant forms flowers of two symmetrical, but most beetles choose the bilateral flower to pose. According to researchers, bilateral symmetry flowers can be a more comfortable resting place, but it is not entirely clear that the key to success is comfort.
