The World Health Organization recommends the use of DDT pesticide in the fight against malaria. Some have made the decision as surprising, as DDT pesticide is a very dangerous product and has been banned in several countries over the past decades. But the World Health Organization has never completely banned the use of DDT, even more as a measure against malaria, has always recommended that bed mosquito nets with DDT. He has now expanded the recommendation and advised that the walls of the house be rotated with this pesticide in populations exposed to malaria.
On recommendation, experts believe that DDT is not a safe product. But the situation caused by malaria is serious and the best solution in many places is to use DDT, at least on the interior walls of the house. This use is not the same as it had been done decades ago in agriculture, that is, they will not spread the pesticide in tons but will apply it specifically.
However, before starting to use it, WHO wants to complete the map of ddt resistant locations.
