Superconductive materials for space electric propulsion

Inasmet-Tecnalia is applying solutions based on superconductive materials in space electric propulsion systems in collaboration with the European Space Agency in the technological field. This collaboration is developed within the framework of the SCEP project (Superconductive Materials for Electric Propulsion Systems).

For the development of this project, a comprehensive study is being carried out for the application of components and conductive materials of high temperature space electric propulsion. It will then be completed with experimental tests and laboratory validation trials.
