Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Elhuyar present the STEAM diagnosis of Goierri youth

On Friday, Goierri's Mondragon Unibertsitatea Youth STEAM diagnosis was presented in Beasain, on the Goierri Campus.
The questionnaire involved young people from 3 and 4 ESO schools in the region. The objective has been to analyze young people’s self-perception, focus and knowledge of the surrounding industry around STEM areas.
The results show that girls have a lower technological vocation than boys, and that stereotypes continue to influence, while girls want to be health professions (doctor, nurse, psychologist) or teachers, while boys have a profession related to informatics or technology (engineer, mechanic). All this presentation was made in the context of CICYT Goierriko MONDRAGON ZTIM, promoted by Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the Goierri Foundation and with the support of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
MONDRAGON ZTIM HUB is a ZTIM vocation development and promotion initiative. The main objective of the initiative is, inter alia, to develop a comprehensive education offering based on STEAM competences through collaboration between the different valleys, schools, businesses and social actors, focusing on young people and especially women.
