Identity radically changes from adolescence to old age

According to a group of researchers at the University of Edinburgh, a person's personality changes radically over the years. To conclude this, researchers were based on a study conducted in 1950. Some personality variables of 1,208 14-year-olds were then measured: self-confidence, perseverance, mood stability, awareness, originality and passion for learning. In 2012, 174 older participants measured the six variables measured in 1950. (In fact, these variables are not currently considered in psychological studies.)
Thus, the study revealed that there was no correlation between the results of 1950 and 2012. Moreover, the higher the measurement time, the lower the relationship between the results, and after 63 years there is hardly any similarity. The research has been published in the journal Research Deco.
