Taking the computer as a device, it is a machine that has made great progress. In recent years it has experienced remarkable improvements and continues in the same line at a growing speed. We know that improvements have been made many times to leaps, because new systems have been invented, but the data that we will give below about the speed of improvements are average.

The speed of microprocessors is getting faster and can be said to double every two years. The data storage capacity of hard drives is double every two years for the same price.

The ability to transmit information on the network is five times greater every five years. The data capture speed on CD-Rom is doubled every three and a half years. Thanks to the compression of numerical data, thirty times more space has been achieved in the last five years.
