This scanner, recently launched by Hewlett-Packard, is called HP ScanJet and works as photocopiers. This machine has a suitable size to be used on the working table.
The advantage of this machine with respect to photocopiers is that, instead of taking out copies on paper, digitized images are obtained that any personal computer can store and process.
In addition, although scanners so far only work with loose pages, HP ScanJet can digitize, in addition to normal pages, books, photographs, magazines or other documents. The software that leads allows the user to select the required resolution level at any time (between 38 and 300 points/inches).
In addition, it is possible to expand and reduce images in order to be able to interlace them in documents created with a text work program.
Images can be reduced by 13% or increased by 157.8% depending on the level of resolution selected.
HP ScanJet 16 is able to distinguish different shades of gray obtaining images of very good quality.
