Rosetta Farewell

In the end he has also been called "grand finale". Although initially they intended to leave it lost in space or act against the comet, in the end they decided to concentrate slowly (it will be lowered to 90 cm/s). This will allow you to receive images of the comet surface very close, as well as perform some studies. However, hitting the surface of the comet will turn off and continue to travel with the comet further and further away from the Sun.
In any case, the mission will not end there, as researchers will continue to analyze the data sent and draw conclusions from them. The mission has surprised the composition of the kite, the discovery of complex molecules, the cycle of ice and water vapor... And the researchers are convinced that it will still give more.
In this sense, the mission has been considered an absolute success, although the Philae probe that Rosetta left on the surface of the comet worked in less time than desired. There, the probe had an accidental cometarization, which was stuck in a crack. In that place he did not collect the energy of the Sun and only collected the data for three days during the batteries. Then it went off. And soon Rosetta will turn off too. The last sign is expected at 13:18.
