When a fire occurs in buildings, rooms, etc., lighting and other electrical installations usually fail. People may find it difficult to escape quickly. According to public room regulations, in these cases, slow, battery-powered lighting must begin to work to indicate where the exhaust is. To replace these luminaires there are photoluminescent products on the market, but experts were not very sure of their effectiveness.
Recent studies in Britain have revealed that people run the same in corridors and stairs painted with photoluminescent paint and illuminated with emergency light.
Photoluminescent materials absorb the energy of light and release it gradually. Load of both natural and artificial lights. They emit constantly, but our eyes do not perceive it until the illumination of the area passes below a level. The analyzed materials remained illuminated one hour after the lighting was completed.
Undoubtedly these photoluminescent paints can help save lives in case of fire.
