The TXFOAM project has found alternative foam material currently used in the manufacture of surfboards. It has less toxicity than foam and is recyclable.

The project has two young researchers, Borja Ponte, Bachelor of Chemical Sciences and Julen Rementeria, Bachelor of Business Administration and Management. The aim of the project is to reduce the toxicity of surfboards, maintaining or improving their technical characteristics. Material optimization and prototyping are the next steps of the project.
