Tibet nucleariza

1994/03/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

On October 5, China broke the global truce on underground nuclear tests by an explosion in Tibet.

Formerly (until it was conquered by China in 1949), Tibet was a peaceful village between China and India. There are now 300,000 soldiers and a quarter of China's nuclear missiles.

Germany, Switzerland and Japan have held talks with China to collect their radioactive waste, and it seems that the place to deposit these waste will be Tibet.

Tibet is actually a very extensive territory (2.5 million square kilometers of area equivalent to western Europe) and has an average altitude of 4,500 meters. Despite being one of the most important nuclear zones in the world, the Vienna based International Nuclear Energy Agency has no inspection permission. So it is very difficult to know what is happening in Tibet. However, by Lake Quinghai or Coco they have detected a residence of scientists called “new academy”. It is one of the most important nuclear research centers in China and it seems that China has achieved its first atomic bombs.

As in all dry atomic cities, all radioactive waste generated in obtaining the atomic bomb would be buried anywhere polluting the environment. Around the so-called “new academy,” however, unlike usual, there have been many evils and deaths. In the north of the city of Golmud, between the provinces of Quinghai and Sichuan and on the former border with China, nuclear weapons have been detected. There may be intercontinental missiles.
