Tyrannosaurus exerted great force when biting with the jaw, perhaps enough force to crack his skull. But that did not happen. According to some English scientists, the design of the skull was able to absorb the stress of the step.

In fact, the skull was not a rigid structure, but was occasionally interrupted. This gave flexibility to the structure and, in doing the indentation, the bone was deformed. It is estimated that if the skull had been rigid, the tension around the eye would increase every time the animal bites.
