Scientists report that NASA's budget cuts will cut the ISS scientific program to zero. At NASA's request, a report details the scientific priorities of the space station program and calls for more time and resources for astronauts.
At the ISS it was expected that at least 7 people would work together, but in the emergency vehicle there is only room for three. Construction plans for a larger one were suspended and the number of trips dropped to four per year. In this situation, the three crew members spend most hours of the day on maintenance.
The authors of the report said that one more trip a year, more teams and more astronauts are essential to be able to carry out scientific research correctly, since otherwise, NASA could eliminate the ISS from the group of projects led by scientific interest.
